The Knicks came back from 29 points down to win Game 4 at Madison Square Garden on June 10. That is the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.

The old record was 24, set by the 2008 Celtics against the Lakers. New York buried it.

Here is the part collectors keep circling. The player whose cards are up the most this whole run is Victor Wembanyama, and he is the guy who lost.

The Largest Comeback in Finals History

The Spurs led 76-49 at halftime. That is the largest road halftime lead in Finals history.

San Antonio shot 59.6% in the first half and hit a Finals-record 14 first-half threes. They looked unbeatable for 24 minutes.

Then they scored 30 points in the entire second half. The Knicks won 107-106.

OG Anunoby ended it with a one-handed tip-in of Jalen Brunson's missed three, 1.2 seconds left. He also blocked De'Aaron Fox on the other end to seal it.

New York leads the series 3-1. One win from their first title since 1973.

The Box Score That Moves the Room

Brunson went for 36 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists. He is the Finals story right now.

Anunoby dropped 33 on 7-of-9 from three, a playoff career high. Karl-Anthony Towns picked up foul trouble 62 seconds in and finished 13 and 10. Josh Hart filled the line with 6 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists.

Wembanyama posted 24 points and 13 rebounds. But the split tells the story: 6-of-11 in the first half, 3-of-14 in the second. He missed late free throws and was a plus-28 in the first half alone before it all came apart.

Why the Loser's Market Keeps Climbing

Wembanyama's market is up roughly 102% over the past month during the Finals run, per SI Collectibles. That climb did not flip on one bad second half.

His grail tier is in a different league than anyone else on either roster. The Prizm Black 1/1 rookie sold for $5.11 million in a private deal through Fanatics Collect, the most ever for a Wemby card. His National Treasures RPA 1/1 went $552,050 at Goldin on May 6. His Topps Chrome Superfractor 1/1 auto hit $488,000 at Goldin on March 7.

We watched this market hold its tier through a flagrant-2 ejection in the Western Conference run. Bad nights have not broken the floor.

That is the counterintuitive read. A 3-1 hole and a rough second half is the kind of moment that can cool a market, and right now that cooling could be the cheapest entry of the run before Saturday. We are describing what the market is doing, not telling anyone where to put money.

The Affordable List

The grails aren't for most rooms. Goldin's Weekly Auction (June 9-18) has a stack of Wemby autos that are. All bids below are as of June 11 and end around June 18 with extended bidding.

The featured piece is a 2025-26 Topps Chrome Autographs Orange Geometric Refractor Wemby auto, serial #01/25, his jersey number. PSA 9, PSA-DNA 9 auto, the lone example at its tier in the census with one higher. 15 bids, next bid $460 as of this writing. Goldin's own lot description leans on his Game 3 MSG line of 32/8/6/3/2.

What the Base Cards Are Doing

The cards regular collectors actually buy are moving too. These are tracker comps as of June 11.

His 2023 Prizm base #136 in a PSA 10 has been clearing roughly $390 to $510. The raw version sits near $88, up about 87% in 30 days. His Donruss Optic base PSA 10 is around $261.

The parallels run higher. Pink Ice has landed roughly $898 to $1,425. Prizm Silver PSA 10, the bellwether serious Wemby collectors track, sits around $2,225 to $2,900.

If you want to hunt live, the rooms are ALT and Goldin. That is where the volume is.

The Knicks Counter-Angle

Brunson is the Finals story, but the comps are thin and cheap. His 2018-19 Prizm base #250 PSA 10 last moved around $122. The Prizm Silver PSA 10 sits roughly $290 to $435, though a PSA 9 went near $1,100 on May 28. His Prizm Blue /199 PSA 10 has hit around $1,510.

Anunoby and Towns barely have Finals-specific comp data to work with yet. The numbers haven't caught up to the moment.

A title that ends a drought going back to 1973 could move the room. But the comps aren't there yet, and we are not going to put fake numbers behind a New York title that hasn't happened.

The Takeaway

The Garden just hosted the greatest comeback in Finals history, and the Knicks are one win from ending a 53-year wait. That is the story everyone will remember.

The market read is quieter and stranger. Wemby's cards kept climbing through Game 3, and his floor has held all run while Cooper Flagg chases him from below. A 3-1 hole and a cold second half could be the soft spot before Saturday. Whether that floor holds after the confetti is the real watch.
