Introducing Want It: Express Demand, Get Offers

We just shipped Want It - a one-click way for buyers to express demand and get offers from sellers.

The Problem

You know what you want. You check listings every day. Nothing available. You wait. You refresh. Still nothing.

Meanwhile, sellers have no idea you're looking.

Enter Want It

Click "Want It" on any product. Enter your max price. Done.

Your demand listing goes live. Sellers see it. They submit offers. You review and accept.

How It Works

For Buyers:

  • Find a product you want
  • Click "Want It"
  • Enter your max price
  • Your bid listing goes live
  • Sellers with that item can now make you offers.

    For Sellers:

  • See "X Buyers Want This" on products you carry
  • View what buyers are willing to pay
  • Submit offers directly
  • Close deals faster
  • Why This Matters

Most marketplaces are passive. List it and hope someone finds it.

Want It flips the model. Buyers express demand. Sellers respond.

    This unlocks liquidity:

  • Buyers find items that aren't listed yet
  • Sellers discover demand before listing
  • Both sides save time
  • Inspiration

We took inspiration from Mantel's Want List feature - but made it active, not passive.

Your Want It listing isn't just a search query. It's a live bid that sellers can act on immediately.

    Where It Works

Want It is now live on Nerdworth for all authenticated users.

Look for the button on product pages. If you don't see active listings for what you want, click it.

    More verticals coming soon.

    What's Next

This is V1. We're already working on:

  • Want It badges on product cards in search
  • Seller dashboard showing top wanted items
  • Notifications when sellers make offers
  • Auto-accept thresholds
  • The goal: make finding what you want as easy as clicking a button.
